On the morning of June 28th 2022, the school of management invited Professor Hu Bin from Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Professor Ye Qingming from Shanghai University and Zhang Yuqing, deputy director of the personnel department of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, as review experts, to participate in the oral defense meeting of the second batch of courses for the English major of international economy and trade. Deputy Dean Qiu Menghua, Secretary of international affairs Xie Yanxi, and 8 course construction teachers attended the defense meeting. The oral defense meeting was hosted by the Deputy Dean Qiu Menghua.
The English major of international economy and trade is one of the first English Majors for overseas students in our university. It is also a major with the largest number of students enrolled. This defense meeting mainly focuses on the conclusion of the second batch of 8 professional courses. The teachers who are in charge of the course construction made a defense introduction from the aspects of course opening, textbook selection or construction, website construction, teaching team construction, video shooting, course opening effect, fund use, etc. After listening to the report, the three experts checked the completion of the curriculum construction tasks against the project proposal and the requirements of the international student education quality standards, reviewed them and gave valuable suggestion on the course improvements. The check and acceptance of the second batch of the English course construction projects shows that the construction of the English major in international economics and trade in the school of management has been steadily and orderly promoted, and has achieved good results.
