On November 27th, organized by the School of Management of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, international students, sponsored students and some preparatory students of Shanghai University of Engineering Technology participated in the Seeing small things, conveying emotions with ink calligraphy competition. This competition provides an opportunity for students to experience Chinese calligraphy, so as to promote traditional Chinese culture and promote the friendship between China and foreign countries.
With the spread of xuan paper, the smell of ink spread in the air, and the activity hosted by Yin Yutong officially opened. First of all, the host introduced the development history and use of the four treasures of traditional Chinese culture, that is, the brush, xuan paper, ink-stick and inkstone, and then described in detail how to use the brush to write correctly, and played carefully selected teaching videos for everyone to learn. The students listened carefully and practiced with the video. At the same time, the activity was getting better and better.
After a short practice, everyone was eager to try and start their competition works. To our surprise, in addition to the traditional Chinese poems and famous sayings collected for this activity, such as An Epigraph in Praise of My Humble Home, the students also searched for other famous Chinese poems by themselves and copied and created them. In the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, everyone's inspiration burst out again, not only with the brush, a traditional Chinese writing tool, to write Chinese characters, but also with their own hometown characters on the rice paper, and collect the signatures of students from different countries and regions in the way of philately, so that a piece of calligraphy with different languages of different countries was born.
The student who finally won the first prize was Muhammad from Bangladesh. He stood out with a calligraphy work with the core idea of Ten years of trees and a hundred years of nurturing people. The rest of the students also had a brilliant performance in this competition and gained a beautiful souvenir with Chinese characteristics.Mr.Zhang Qiang wrote words with gratitude and motivational significance, which greatly inspired the students present and brought warm applause.
A piece of paper, a pen , an inkstone and an ink-stick bear the writing culture of China for five thousand years, and set up a bridge across the mountains and oceans, so that Chinese and foreign students can enjoy the fun of calligraphy, increase friendship and exchanges, promote cultural integration, and carry forward and spread traditional Chinese culture under the premise of respecting the cultural differences of different countries and regions.
